The test kit and accessories help meet regulatory requirements for respirator fit testing. The kit can be used to verify the face seal to the respirator on any disposable respirator or half mask. In order to test a half mask respirator, it must be fitted with a P3 particulate filter for fit testing. The 3M™ FT-10 Test Kit uses a sodium saccharin test solution that produces a sweet-tasting aerosol. 3M recommends that users perform a face fit test prior to using the respirator and repeat it periodically as part of their occupational respiratory protection program. Follow all applicable national and other guidelines regarding face fit testing. If not available, refer to ISO 16975-3 or contact 3M.
